Meet Miles Gordon, the visionary co-owner and director behind the success of Gotham Swim. With a rich history in aquatics, Miles brings a wealth of experience to our swim school. He founded and directed "Take Me To The Water'' for an impressive 15 years. Miles later moved on to establish "Lifesaving Enterprises," a CPR/First Aid and lifeguard school that certified lifeguards across camps, schools, and health clubs in the tri-state area.
In 2021, Miles ventured further into the aquatic world with the creation of "Penguin City Swim," which he successfully nurtured and recently sold. After he created Gotham Swim. Miles holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from NYU, which reflects his passion for working with children and adolescents. With Miles at the helm, Gotham Swim is a legacy of dedication to water safety and youth development.
Rick Diaz, our co-owner, senior swim instructor, and aquatic director, is a true aquatic aficionado. An American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Rick served as a New York City lieutenant lifeguard for an impressive 24 years.
